Sea Trail
Usually as part of a Pre Purchase survey a Static, Sea or River trial may be required. This maybe to see sails hoisted or the satisfactory running at speed & performance of engine/s.
In certain circumstances it may be acceptable if the boat is moored alongside a suitable quay, marina, or mooring.
If we have any concerns, we may recommend an oil sample be taken for analysis.

- Engine(s) start up procedure (smoke production) to include instrument readings for various time intervals and ranges.
- The vessel’s steering, handling and operation.
- Engine crash / emergency stop and reversing.
- Overall engine and motor boat performance at high and low speeds.
- Infrared heat testing the engine for potential hot spots of concern.
